How to use our Online Violin Tuner

Step 1: Say 'Yes' to Microphone Access

When you open our tuner, your browser will ask if it can use your microphone. Click 'Yes' or 'Allow'. This lets the tuner hear your violin.

Step 2: Listen to the Notes

You'll see four buttons named G, D, A, E. These are your violin strings. Tap a button, and you'll hear that string's note. Tap it again to turn the sound off. If you tap a different note, the first one will stop.

Step 3: Time for Tuning

Now it's time to tune the violin. Play a string on your violin, and the tuner will show how close you are to the perfect note. Here's a tip: try not to play your violin and listen to the tuner notes simultaneously. Doing so might confuse the tuner! If anything seems off, simply refresh the page and it should work fine again.

Step 4: Try the A4 Tuning Option

You can spot another button below your tuner. It usually shows A4=440. But, if you tap it, you can change it to, for example, A4=441. This helps you fine-tune your violin's strings for the chosen standards.

Step 5: Practice, Practice, Practice

Tuning your violin needs practice, just like playing it. Try it regularly, and soon you'll be able to hear when your violin strings are in tune.

Our online tuner is ready for you anytime you need it. Give it a try, and hear the difference it makes to your violin sound!
